Curtains down on BJEM MUN in Odisha capital

The three-day BJEM MUN (Model United Nations) at Buxi Jagabandhu English Medium School in Odisha capital ended here today.

The BJEM MUN, a perfect replica of the United Nations Organisation with the attendance of 553 delegates representing various countries across the globe has disseminated the message of universal brotherhood and filled in the spirit of global citizenship.

Attending as the chief guest in the valedictory function, Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, Chief Editor, The Sambad and former MP told that such initiatives would make the young generation aware of the global issues as well as the challenges faced by their nations in various aspects.

The Principal Sandhya Jena expressed hope that such an exposure would definitely help the delegates to be global citizens and help resolve issues related to international community.

The Manager of the school Pratap Kumar Jena presented a memento to the chief guest Pattnaik. He gave away the prizes and certificates to the winning delegates. Colourful and thrilling cultural programmes were a visual delight for the crowd attended by respected members of the management and the staff members. At the end, Manish Banerjee, Model Secretary General of the MUN offered the vote of thanks.
