Cuttack city reports 27 new COVID-19 cases including 17 from AHRCC

Cuttack: Of the 39 COVID-19 cases reported from Cuttack district in the last 24 hours, 27 including three local contacts belong to the city (CMC area). With this, the tally rose to 291 in the city.

The fresh cases include 17 patients and attendants of Acharya Harihar Regional Cancer Centre (AHRCC) who were sent on institutional quarantine after coming in contact with previous positive cases at the hospital.

Now the number of active cases in the city now stands at 150. However, 134 persons have recovered from the disease and seven succumbed to the virus.

Active surveillance, contact tracing, and sanitization drive in the concerned areas are underway, said the CMC.
