Cuttack city reports 57 new COVID-19 cases; tally crosses 600-mark

Cuttack: Cuttack city reported 57 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, of which one case has been detected from the Ravaneshaw University, informed Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) today.

The positive case is a 21-year-old male. He is among 8 other local contacts found positive in the Cuttack city.

Today, as many as 75 new cases have been reported in Cuttack district, out of which 57 are from Cuttack city area.

Of the fresh cases, 11 cases have been detected from institutional quarantine centres, 2 cases are paid quarantine, 36 are home quarantine cases and 8 are local contacts. With this, the tally crossed 600-mark in the city. The total number of positive cases in the city now climbed to 671 with 367 active cases and 296 recoveries so far.
