Cuttack: Containment zone restrictions in Pattapole withdrawn

Cuttack: Containment zone restrictions imposed in Pattapole area of Odisha’s Cuttack city have been lifted, an official order said.

The locality was sealed and declared as a ‘containment zone’ for active surveillance after a person of the area tested positive for COVID-19.

Decision to withdraw the restrictions was taken after all samples of primary contacts and symptomatic cases from the containment zone tested negative for the virus. “Since all the samples of primary contacts and symptomatic cases from the containment zone have tested negative, it is hence understood that there is no local transmission in the zone,” the order said.

However, regular restrictions of lockdown shall prevail till further orders in the area of Pattapole, the order added.
