Cuttack ‘serial killer’ murdered victims to settle scores: Police

Cuttack: In a significant development in the serial murder case in the city, Cuttack DCP Akhileshvar Singh today said that accused Narayan Sahu committed the murders with an intention of settling scores with the victims.

“Two of the three deceased were instrumental in driving him (Narayan Sahu) out of the house where he was residing. The accused has confessed that he killed the two persons,” the DCP said.

Involvement of Narayan in the Mangalabah murder case is being verified and no direct link of the accused has been found after interrogation. We will take him on remand for eliciting further information in this regard, the police official said.

Singh further informed that an axe, which was used as weapon of offence, has been seized from OMP Square in the city today.
