Cyclone FANI: Odisha High Court to resume work from Monday

Cuttack: After Cyclone FANI destruction in Silver city Cuttack, the High Court of Orissa will resume work from May 13.

The court will remain closed till May 10 in the wake of Cyclone FANI that battered the city with no power and water supply and badly affecting the telecommunication and internet services since May 3.

As May 11 and 12 are the holidays, the court will be functional from Monday i.e. May 13.

Earlier, the court was closed on May 2 and 3 in view of the IMD forecast about the extremely severe cyclonic storm.

Worth mentioning, the High Court premises along with the district court and Bar Association campus were completely devastated after FANI hit Odisha coast on May 3.

In view of the massive inconvenience occurred due to the tropical storm, various bar associations had demanded to close the high court till normalcy returns to the city.
