Cyclone FANI-ravaged Nandankanan to reopen tomorrow
Bhubaneswar: The Cyclone FANI-ravaged Nandankanan Zoological Park (NZP) situated on outskirts of Odisha capital will be opened for the visitors from tomorrow.
This was decided after inspection by a technical team at the zoo.

The zoo was closed for an indefinite period after the cyclone that had hit Odisha coast on May 3.
The green cover in Odisha zoo was badly affected by the extremely severe cyclonic storm. Thousands of trees at the zoo and medicinal plants grown at Botanical Garden were uprooted and damaged due to the strong winds in the tropical storm.
As many as 213 enclosures built for the animals at the zoo were also damaged by the cyclone.
