Cyclone NADA: Rains likely in Odisha tomorrow

Several places in Odisha are likely to experience rains from tomorrow under the influence of Cyclone NADA.

The well marked low pressure over the southeast Bay of Bengal which intensified into deep depression has taken shape of a cyclonic storm and is moving in the north and northwest direction, Met department said.

The cyclonic storm which has been named NADA has moved at a speed of 25 km per hour in the last six hours and is currently located at a distance of 1220 km from Gopalpur in Odisha’s Ganjam district, the department added.

Under its influence several places in the state are likely to receive rains tomorrow, the department said.

It is likely to further intensify and move in the west and northwest direction and is likely to make landfall between Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on December 2.
