Cyclone Titli: Six trains cancelled, 2 rescheduled   

Bhubaneswar: With cyclonic storm Titli wreaking havoc in several parts of Odisha, the East Coast Railways (ECoR) cancelled six trains and rescheduled two trains today.

As per the latest bulletin of ECoR, Bhubaneswar-Visakhapatnam-Bhubaneswar Inter City Express from both directions, Visakhapatnam-Digha Express from Visakhapatnam, Yesvantpur-Howrah Express from Yesvantpur, Bangalore Cant-Guwahati Express from Bangalore Cant, Yesvantpur-Muzafarpur Express from Yesvantpur and Howrah-Hyderabad East Coast Express from Howrah have been cancelled.

Besides, the Howrah-Secunderabad Falaknuma Express from Howrah has been diverted and will run via Kharagpur-Tata-Bilaspur-Nagpur-Kazipet.

The ECoR has also rescheduled the Kharagpur-Villupuram Express today. It will leave Kharagpur at 6.05 PM instead of 2.05 PM. Besides, the Hyderabad-Howrah East Coast Express was also rescheduled today. It left Hyderabad at 12 noon instead of 9.50 AM.

Sources said train services will be reviewed and decision will be taken as per circumstances. Railway teams including track specialists, bridge engineers, over head electricity engineers have gone to do a detailed study of impact of cyclone Titli between Berhamapur-Palasa and Palasa-Kottabomali.

Sources said several station buildings, platform shelters, foot over bridges, signalling pole and overhead electric masts at several places, mainly in Palasa of Andhra Pradesh have been damaged under the cyclone impact.
