Bhubaneswar: Though the very severe cyclonic storm Yaas has weaken into a severe cyclonic storm, next 12 hours is crucial for Mayurbhanj district, informed Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Pradeep Jena today.
Briefing on the cyclonic situation in the state, the official said gusty wind with speed reaching 100-110 kmph is likely to prevail in the district during the next 12 hours. However, all arrangements are in place to tackle any kind of eventuality.
“All COVID hospitals in the district are running smoothly. No damage has been reported from any healthcare institution,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Regional Meteorological Centre here has issued heavy to very heavy rainfall warning for nine districts, including Mayurbhanj till 8.30 AM of May 27.
