Bhubaneswar: With the southeast monsoon covering the entire Odisha, a cyclonic circulation has formed over the Bay of Bengal, which may trigger more downpour in the state.

According to the weather bulletin released by the IMD, a cyclonic circulation lies over Eastcentral Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood between 3.1 & 5.8 km above mean sea level.

Under the impact of the system, heavy rainfall is likely across Odisha from tomorrow. As per the Bhubaneswar MeT forecast, heavy rain is likely to lash many parts of the state in next 5 days.

This apart, the thunderstorm is likely at several places of many districts from today till next 4 days.

As per weather forecast, Thunderstorm with lightning accompanied with gusty surface windspeed reaching 30-40 kmph likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati,Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Rayagada, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Kandhamal, Sonepur today.

From June 26-27: Heavy Rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh.
