Cyclonic circulation likely to form today; Rainfall forecast for these Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: A cyclonic circulation is likely to form over the eastcentral Bay of Bengal today. Under its influence, a Low Pressure Area is likely to form over westcentral Bay of Bengal during the subsequent 48 hours.

The Regional Meteorological Centre here has issued rainfall warning for several districts of Odisha in this connection.

Below is day-wise rainfall prediction for the districts.

September 7: Heavy Rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput.

September 8: Heavy to very heavy Rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Koraput, Rayagada and Heavy Rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Kalahandi, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Cuttack, Kendrapara , Jagatsinghpur and Khurda.

September 9: Heavy to very heavy Rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Gajapati, Ganjam, Malkangiri, Koraput, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, and heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak, Jajpur, Puri, Kendrapara Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Khurda, Sonepur, Boudh, Bolangir, Nuapada and Nayagarh.

September 10: Heavy to very heavy Rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Nuapada, and heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Bargarh, Sonepur, Kandhamal, Rayagada.
