Cyclonic Circulation: Thunderstorm likely in these Odisha districts today

Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha are likely to experience thunderstorm today while a cyclonic circulation prevails over westcentral Bay of Bengal.

“The cyclonic circulation over Westcentral Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood extending upto 3.1 km above mean sea level persists,” the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in its morning bulletin today.

On the other hand, the Regional Meteorological Centre here forecasted thunderstorm with lightning for several districts of the state.

“Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Boudh, Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Puri, Khurda, Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur,” the Meteorological Centre said.
