Czech Education Fair held at Odisha-based KIIT University

A Czech Education fair was held on Saturday at Odisha-based KIIT University as part of the Czech drive to develop a meaningful and mutually beneficial relationship between India and Czech Republic in the education sector.

Kiit CzechCzech universities’ representatives led by Miloslav Stasek, Ambassador of Czech Republic in India visited KIIT & KISS.

Inaugurating the education fair Mr. Miloslav said, Czech Republic has a very warm relationship with India. KIIT has an excellent reputation in education all over India and that explains why the Czech embassy decided to organize Czech education fair at KIIT, he said.

Such kind of education fair will help in further improvement of the education systems in both countries, he added.

Dr Pradeep Panigrahy, Higher Education minister, Odisha said KIIT has created a new benchmark in higher education in eastern India and emphasized on the value based education imparted by KIIT. Dr Harekrishna Satapathy VC, Tirupati Sanskrit Bidyapith said, KIIT is the center of excellence and infrastructure and teaching learning system of KIIT are excellent. It has been possible due the continuous effort and dedication of its founder Dr Samanta.

Kiit CzechDr Achyuta Samanta in his welcome address said, the relationship between the Czech Republic and KIIT is very strong. Earlier KIIT has signed various MoUs in the field of education with a number of universities in the Czech Republic, he pointed out.

15 MoUs have been signed between KIIT and the group of Czech Universities he said, adding, Czech universities are trying to tie up with premier universities of India and they have shown interest to sign MoUs with KIIT University, though it is a new born institution.

Fifteen Czech universities including Charls University, Palacky University, Technical Universtiy of Ostrava, Academy of fine arts, Brno University of technology, Masaryk University, University of Perdubice, Institute of Chemical Technology, Czech university of life sciences, Technical University of Liberec, University of Hradec, University of Ostrava, Tomas Bata University and Metropolitan University of Prague have signed MoU with KIIT.

It is matter of great privilege for Odisha, Dr Samanta said.

Among others Prof. P. P. Mathur VC, KIIT University and P.D. Murry, Director NIT Surat were present.
