More and more skeletons are tumbling out of the cupboard with every passing day ever since arrested Dhalasamanta brothers have been taken on remand by the Odisha police.
While the brothers had revealed during interrogation yesterday that they had procured the firearms from Munger in Bihar, today they have revealed that they have invested Rs 200 crore in a sponge iron plant in Jharsuguda, apart from investing crores of rupees in a hotel at Mumbai, police sources said. Police have also seized some documents pertaining to it and some associates of the Dhalasamanta brothers are shareholders in the sponge iron unit, the sources added.
Police sources said both Sushil and Sushant used to regularly visit Vizag, Delhi, Guwahati, Kolkata, Goa and Mumbai and they are being interrogated as to why they used to visit these places so frequently.
The brothers were procuring firearms from Munger in Bihar since the year 2000. A former MLA was helping the brothers in the procurement of firearms, the sources added.
During interrogation it has been found out that the brothers had managed to obtain two fake passports.
Further, the house in Pokhariput area of Bhubaneswar from where the two brothers were arrested was taken on rent by one Bhola Bhagat. Bhagat is a business partner of the Dhalasamanta brothers, police sources said.
