DA Case: Assistant Statistical Officer under Vigilance scanner

Balasore: Vigilance sleuths today raided the office and residences of District Assistant Statistical Officer Parameswar Rout on charges of acquisition and possession of property disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Acting on search warrants, the anti-graft team conducted the raid simultaneously at four places, including his residences at Rameshwar Nagar and Saraswatipur, office at Balasore and his ancestral house at Basudevpur in Bhadrak district, said Vigilance SP Sunil Kumar Senapati.

The four teams began the raids at 5 am today. However, the exact amount of disproportionate assets that the official has possessed will be ascertained after completion of the raids, he added.
