Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government today increased Dearness Allowance (DA) for its employees by 3%. It will be implemented retrospectively from July 1, 2021.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik made an announcement in this regard. The DA for the State Government employees, which was earlier 28%, rose to 31% with this hike.
Similarly, the Dearness Relief for pensioners has been increased by 3%.
Around 7.5 lakh employees and pensioners will be benefited with this decision.
The CM also directed to provide pending 30% dues of 7th Pay Commission. The employees have already received 50% of the hiked amount as per the recommendations of the Commission between January 2016 and August 2017.
