Daily flight service from Odisha’s Bhubaneswar to Durgapur of West Bengal to begin on August 30

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Capital will get connected to neighbouring West Bengal’s industrial city Durgapur by air as daily passenger flight service is to begin August 30, a source informed today.

According to the source, the direct flights to and fro Bhubaneswar will be run by IndiGo Airlines. The flights will run between Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) here and Kazi Nazrul Islam Airport (KNIA) in Durgapur.

Arrival and departure timings of the non-stop flights are:

Introduction of the flight service will save around five hours for residents of Odisha when they travel from the State Capital to Durgapur by air, a senior official of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) said. “They will no longer need to travel by road to Durgapur via Kolkata and will save time,” the official added.

Worth mentioning, IndiGo Airlines is presently providing flight service between Jharsuguda and New Delhi.
