The PMO’s letter dispatched on August 26 seeking details of the incident was received by the state government yesterday.

“All facts pertaining to how the incident happened, what action has been taken, everything in detail will be certainly provided to the Prime Minister by the state government at the earliest,” informed Pratap Keshari Deb, BJD spokesperson.

“In the past too we have said that the incident was an unfortunate incident and it should not have happened. An inquiry has been conducted on the incident and the government has received the report. The state government will accordingly inform the Prime Minister,” Deb added.

On being asked if politics had anything to do with the letter from the PMO, Deb replied in the negative and said that he felt that it was a formality.
