Dance bars’ reopening likely to get delayed in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: The dance bars in Odisha capital that were given approval recently to reopen will have to wait for some more time. Reason: the fire safety approval granted to them is flawed.

“The Fire Safety NOC given to the dance bars in Odisha capital is flawed as the officers who had issued them are not the competent authority to do so. The dance bars have to reapply for the necessary approval,” DG (Fire Services) BK Sharma said.

It may be recalled here that as many as seven dance bars in the capital city had got approval to resume dance shows, with certain conditions.
