Date of NEET(UG)-2021 declared; see details

New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET (UG)-2021 across the country for admissions to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS and BHMS courses amid Covid-19 protocols.

The application process for the NEET (UG)-2021 will begin from 5 PM tomorrow through the NTA websites, tweeted Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today.

The NTA will hold the NEET (UG)-2021 on September 12, 2021 (Sunday), the tweet stated.

Result of the NEET (UG)-2021 will be utilised by other entities of Central/State Governments (including Indian Nursing Council/ Nursing Colleges/ Schools, JIPMER) for counselling and admission to relevant courses [including B.Sc. (Nursing) and B.Sc. (Life Sciences)] in accordance with their rules, norms and guidelines.

“In order to ensure social distancing norms,  number of cities where the entrance examination will be conducted has been increased from 155 to 198. The number of examination centres will also be increased from the 3,862 centres used in 2020,” Pradhan stated in a series of tweets.

The Union Education Minister further stated face mask will be provided to candidates at the exam centre.

Besides, staggered time slots during entry and exit, contactless registration, proper sanitisation and seating with social distancing etc. will be ensured, he mentioned.
