Day temperature at five places in Odisha cross 40 degrees

Bhubaneswar: As many as five places in Odisha today recorded maximum day temperature 40 degrees Celsius or above. Bolangir was the hottest at 41.5 degrees, said the Regional Meteorological Centre.

Bolangir was followed by Boudh and Titlagarh at 40.8 degrees 40.5 degrees, respectively. Malkangiri recorded 40.2 degrees whereas Talcher was at 40.1 degrees Celsius.

There was some respite for denizens of the twin cities as the day temperature at Bhubaneswar and Cuttack were at 37.5 degrees and 36.5 degrees, respectively.

Also, the Regional Meteorological Centre forecast interior districts of the State will record an increase of 2-3 degrees above normal temperature in next two days. A few places in interior districts will record 40 degree or more, it added.
