Day temperature to rise by 3-5 Degrees Celsius in Odisha districts during next 4 days

Bhubaneswar: With no significant synoptic system lying over the region, Maximum (day) temperature is very likely to rise by 3-5 Degrees Celsius in Odisha districts during next four days, India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar forecasted today.

In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD stated, “Maximum temperatures observed marked rise at one or two places over the districts of South Coastal Odisha & North Interior Odisha, appreciable rise at most places over the districts of North Interior Odisha, at many places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, at a few places over the districts of South Odisha and no large change at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha. They were markedly below normal at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha, appreciably below normal at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha, at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, below normal at a few places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha, above normal at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha and normal at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha.”

Temperature forecast: Maximum temperature is very likely to rise by 3°C to 5°C during next four days at many places over the districts of Odisha and no large change thereafter. Minimum temperature is likely to rise by 2°C to 3°C during next five days at many places over the districts of Odisha.

The highest maximum (day) temperature of 37.0°C was recorded at Malkangiri and the lowest minimum (night) temperature of 16.5°C was recorded at Sundargarh in the plains of Odisha.
