Day temperature to rise by 8-10 Degrees Celsius in Odisha districts during next 3 days

Bhubaneswar: With a trough aloft from Bihar to south Odisha across Jharkhand becoming less marked, the Maximum (day) temperature is likely to rise by 8-10 Degrees Celsius in Odisha districts during next three days, India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre forecasted today.

In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD stated, “Maximum temperatures observed marked fall at most places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, at a few places over the districts of and North Interior Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of South Interior Odisha, appreciable fall at a few places over the districts of North Interior Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of South Interior Odisha and no large change at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha. They were markedly below normal at most places over the districts of Odisha.”

Temperature forecast: Maximum (day) temperature is to rise by 8°C to 10°C during next three days and no large change likely at most places over the districts of Odisha.

Minimum (night) temperature is to rise by 3°C to 5°C during next three days and no large change thereafter at most places over the districts of Odisha.

The highest maximum (day) temperature of 29.8°C was recorded at Sonepur and the lowest minimum (night) temperature of 11.6°C was recorded at Angul in the plains of Odisha.

For Thursday (Valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 22.03.2024)

Light rain or thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajapur, Sundargarh and dry weather is likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

For Friday (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 22.03.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 23.03.2024)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
