Days after unveiling Konark wheel replica at NYC, celebrity chef Vikas Khanna gets Odisha CM invite
Bhubaneswar: A week after unveiling a grand replica of the iconic Konark wheel at Times Square in United States’ New York city, celebrated chef and entrepreneur Vikas Khanna held discussions with Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik through videoconferencing today.
During discussion, Khanna praised the art, architecture, sculpture, culture, history and culinary tradition of Odisha, said a release issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).

The celebrated chef also narrated his pleasant experience about his visit to the Jagannath temple in Odisha’s Puri town during the discussion, added the release.
Khanna also praised the rapid transformation of Odisha under the leadership of Patnaik. The iconic Konark wheel symbolizes world peace and unity, opined Khanna.
Patnaik too hailed Khanna’s entrepreneurial and literary abilities. The Chief Minister also invited Khanna to visit Odisha, said the release.
Notably, Khanna had unveiled the replica of Konark wheel at Times Square on the occasion of India’s 77th Independence Day on August 15.
The Odisha Chief Minister had thanked Khanna for his initiative to showcase Odisha’s timeless sculpture before the world.
Born in Amritsar, Khanna has made a name for himself in the culinary world.
