DCC president hurt in road mishap in Odisha’s Koraput district

President of Koraput District Congress Committee (DCC) Minakshi Bahinipati sustained multiple injuries in a road accident near Jeypore in Odisha’s Koraput district this afternoon.

The incident took place at about 2.30 PM when a Bolero jeep, in which the DCC president, wife of Jeypore MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati, was on the way from Koraput to Jeypore, hit a truck carrying paddy husk at Deoghat.

Minakshi, who suffered injuries on her head and chest, was rushed to the Koraput district headquarters hospital and later to Vizag on the advice of the doctors.

However, her condition was stable, reports said.
