Mandari had availed loans and had purchased a Tata Magic vehicle and power tiller since ten months ago.

Owing to losses incurred at farming, Mandari was unable to pay his instalments of the loan for the last four months and was under terrible mental pressure, according to his family members.

It was on 29th last month, the organization that had provided the loan had visited Mandari’s house and had warned that they will seize vehicles if he fails to repay the loan.

Their visit had put Mandari under tremendous mental pressure.

On the next day, Mandari left his home for his fields to manure his crops. Later, he was found lying unconscious in the field by other villagers.

He was first taken to the district headquarters hospital at Sundergarh by his family members for treatment. He was shifted to VIMSAR on Thursday as his condition worsened where he died on Friday.
