Defying COVID norms, locals stage demo in Odisha’s Malkangiri

Malkangiri: Violating COVID-19 guidelines blatantly, locals staged a demonstration against the Odisha Government at Gajalamamudi in Chitrakonda block of Malkangiri district.

According to reports, hundreds of locals took out a protest rally against the local administration and state government alleging lack of developmental works in the Swabhiman Anchal of the district. The demonstration was organised by the CPI(M) Democratic Youth Federation.

The protestors alleged corruption in road, water, health and PDS distribution services in the region. They also alleged that the district administration hasn’t been paying attention towards the basic demands of the locals.
