Delhi SCERT team all praise for high School transformation in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A 10-member delegation from State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Delhi, has applauded the school transformation initiative of Odisha government and praised the state for undertaking several initiatives to upskill the students and teachers of government and aided schools of Odisha.

During their visit to the state office of Mo School today, the team led by Preeti khatri, Nodal Officer (International and National Exposure), SCERT, Delhi also appreciated the series of reforms brought in by the state government as part of its comprehensive policy.

“The transformed schools of Odisha have been equipped with smart digital equipment and it’s heartening to see that teachers and students of rural Odisha schools are being trained with advanced technologies and 21st century skills. The High School Transformation Programme of Odisha government is a game changer initiative in education sector as it ensures inclusive and equitable education to students from all backgrounds. Here, high schools are equipped with infrastructure, basic resource materials and separate space for conducting visual & performing arts to promote art and culture at school level. The Mo School Abhiyan of Odisha government is a unique and one-of-its-kind initiative in the country. The way alumni are being connected with their alma mater and contributing towards the development of their schools is exemplary,” the delegation quoted while addressing the Mo School Abhiyan team.

Appreciating the Mukhyamantri Shikhya Puraskar and Aspirational Programme of School & Mass Education Department, the delegates further said these unique initiatives will help reduce dropout rates and increasing aspirations of students.

It will also strengthen learning environment of government and government-aided schools of the state, they added.

The team interacted with Amarjit Jena, Chief Operating Officer, Mo School and held a detailed discussion with Mo School Abhiyan team.
