Demonetized notes seized from Rajdhani Exp loo in Odisha capital

Ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced demonetization of specified high denomination currency notes on November 8, these currency notes are being found in the uncanniest of places-this time in the loo of a compartment of the Rajdhani Express.

The Government Railway Police (GRP) this evening seized over Rs 4 lakh in specified demonetized currency notes from the toilet of a bogie of the Rajdhani Express that arrived at Bhubaneswar railway station around 6.30 PM, reports said.

Three persons have been detained by the GRP in this connection, the reports added.

They are being interrogated by the GRP and Income Tax department officials over the source of the cash, reports that last came in said.
