Dense fog alert for 8 districts in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The regional Meteorological Centre today issued dense fog alert for eight districts in the State till next 24 hours.

As per a latest bulletin issued by the MeT centre, dense fog will prevail at one or two places in districts like Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Puri, Cuttack, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore and Jajpur  in the next 24 hours.

However, the weathermen further said that there will be no change in the minimum temperature during the next two days. But it will fall by two to three degree Celsius thereafter over the districts of Odisha.

Besides, the Met Centre had predicated light to moderate rain at one or two places in Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Bargarh, Sonepur, Balangir, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Nabarangpur, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj from February 8 to February 9. Similarly, light rain is likely to occur in Sundergarh, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and coastal Odisha from February 9 to February 10.

This apart dry weather is likely to prevail in the rest districts of Odisha.
