Dense fog alert issued for these Odisha districts for two days

Bhubaneswar: The Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) today alerted the Director General of Police (DGP) and the Transport Commissioner to take the necessary steps to regulate traffic on highways at night and in the early morning as the IMD has predicted dense fog for several districts of Odisha for two days stating February 15.

The IMD has predicted dense fog in Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Khurda and Dhenkanal district on February 15.

Similarly, the IMD has issued a yellow warning of dense for Ganjam, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack, Angul and Denkanal on February 16.

“As per the midday weather bulletin issued by the IMD today, dense fog is very likely to occur at several districts of Odisha on February 15 and 16. The police and Transport department officials of the respective districts may take the necessary steps controlled plying of vehicles on highways during the dense to avoid road accident,” said the SRC Pradeep Kumar Jena in his message to the DGP and Transport Commissioner.

The IMD has also predicted shallow to moderate fog in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Khurda, Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Angul and Boudh districts for two days starting February 15.
