Dense fog to envelop these Odisha districts in next two days

Bhubaneswar: Dense fog is likely to blanket several places across the State lowering the visibility in next two days.

As per weather bulletin issued by the IMD today, the dense fog is very likely to occur particularly in coastal, northern costal, northern and interior parts of the State from tonight to tomorrow morning and Monday night to Tuesday morning.

A thick layer of fog may engulf the districts — Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Khordha, Nayagarh, Puri, Sundargarh and Boudh — from January 24 night to January 25 morning.

Similarly, the dense fog is likely to result in poor visibility in the districts — Bhadrak, Balasore, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Angul, Dhenkanal and Cuttack — on January 25 night. The foggy condition may prevail in these nine districts till next morning.

In view of foggy weather, the Special Relief Commissioner has issued advisory for police and transport officials of respective districts to take necessary steps for controlled plying of vehicles on highways during dense fog to avoid any road mishap.
