Bhubaneswar: With mercury plummeting across Odisha, the dense fog alert has been issued for several places for next three days.
As per the weather bulletin issued by the IMD today, as many as 10 districts are likely to be covered with a thick blanket of fog in the morning between January 4 and 6.
As per the warning, the fog is likely to engulf Angul, Boudh, Sonepur, Jagatsinghpur, Kandhamal and Bhadrak districts on January 4. The districts included Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Kandhamal and Jagatsinghpur may witness thick layer of fog early in the morning on January 5.
The dense fog may cover the districts included Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Kandhamal, Jagatsinghpur and Nayagarh early on January 6 morning.
The IMD suggested the police and transport officials of these above districts to take necessary steps for plying of vehicles on highways during dense fog to avoid any road mishap.
