Bhubaneswar: The depression over northwest Bay of Bengal off south Odisha coast is very likely to move north-eastwards off Odisha coast and weaken gradually into a well marked low pressure area during the next 12 hours, a bulletin of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
Under its influence rain/thundershower likely to occur at most places over coastal Odisha and at a few places over interior Odisha during the next 24 hours, a bulletin of the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre said.
Heavy rainfall likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Cuttack, Bhadrak, Balasore, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Kendrapara & neighbourhood during the next 24 hours, it warned.
Strong and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40 to 50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph likely to prevail along and off Odisha coast. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea.
