Bhubaneswar: A depression may form over southwest and adjoining westcentral Bay of Bengal this month, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted.
As per the North Indian Ocean Extended Range Outlook for Cyclogenesis issued by the agency, there is likelihood of formation of a cyclonic circulation over southeast and adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal during later part of week 1 (10.11.2023-16.11.2023), which would become a low pressure area over southwest Bay of Bengal towards end of week 1.
There is a low to moderate probability for the formation of depression over southwest and adjoining westcentral Bay of Bengal during first half of week 2 (17.11.2023-23.11.2023), the outlook added.
