Depression over interior Odisha weakens into well marked low pressure

Bhubaneswar: The depression over interior Odisha and adjoining Chhattisgarh has weakened into a well marked low pressure area, informed India Meteorological Department (IMD) Regional Centre here today.

“The depression over interior Odisha and adjoining Chhattisgarh moved west-northwestwards during last six hours and weakened into a well marked low pressure area at 5.30 am today over Chhattisgarh and adjoining east Madhya Pradesh,” said the weathermen.

It is likely to move west-northwestwards and gradually weaken into a low pressure area during next 24 hours, the MeT Centre added.

Meanwhile, the weatherman predicted rainfall activities in some parts of districts like Bhadrak, Balasore, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Khordha (including Bhubaneswar city) and Nayagarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal, Ganjam and Gajapati.
