Despite cash crunch Odisha to disburse allowances

Dispelling apprehensions about the possible delay in disbursement of allowances to beneficiaries in view of the cash crunch, the Odisha government today announced to disburse allowances to beneficiaries across all categories on Tuesday.

Allowances would be disbursed to about 35 lakh beneficiaries covering old age, widow, and disability categories on Tuesday, informed state Finance Secretary Tuhin Kanta Pandey here this afternoon.

The government has earmarked Rs 140 crore for disbursement of allowances to beneficiaries, clarified Pandey.
