Dhaba owner found dead in Odisha’s Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda: Police today recovered a body of dhaba owner lying in a pool of blood inside his outlet here this morning.

The deceased was identified as Rajesh Kumar Sahoo (32), the owner of a dhaba situated at Babudera near Kanaktora under Lakjanpur block in the district.

Police suspected that Rajesh was allegedly killed by some miscreants inside the dhaba.

According to reports, Rajesh had slept in the dhaba last night. His body was spotted by his family members when his wife went to dhaba this morning to give him breakfast. The family members found the door of the outlet was locked from outside. Later, they broke the door and found Rajesh was lying in a pool of blood.

A plastic rope was also found near the crime spot and his clothes were dusty.

The prima facie evidences suggested that it was a murder incident. Rajesh had fight with the accused before death. Later, he was strangled to death with a plastic rope.

Police suspected a newly appointed staff in dhaba behind the incident. The whereabouts of the staff, who was appointed four days back, is yet to be ascertained.

A probe was launched to nab the accused involved in the incident.
