Dhenkanal Congress leader resigns citing non-cooperation

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) Dhenkanal District Secretary Sidheswari Prasad Mishra yesterday resigned from the primary membership of the party.

Mishra, who was a candidate from the Dhenkanal Assembly Constituency, sent his resignation to OPCC President Niranjan Patnaik yesterday citing non-cooperation among the members and office-bearers in the party.

He also alleged that there is lack of communication from the OPCC and observers appointed by the All India Congress Committee (AICC).

“The valid support required to strengthen the party is missing in the party, for which I felt discomfort and suffocated to work for the party at present,” Patnaik mentioned in his resignation.
