Jharsuguda: Good news for flyers from the western Odisha as SpiceJet will start direct flights to Mumbai and Bengaluru from Veer Surendra Sai Airport, Jharsuguda soon.
Director of the airport Kishore Kumar Senapati informed Jharsuguda-Mumbai and Jharsuguda-Bengaluru routes have been featured among the SpiceJet’s winter schedule. The direct flight services will start from October 25, he further said adding that the airline has decided to operate Boeing-747 on these two routes.
Worth mentioning, direct flight services from Jharsuguda-Mumbai and Jharsuguda-Bengaluru have been a long standing from the people of western Odisha.
At present, SpiceJet is operating direct flights from Veer Surendra Sai Airport to Delhi, Kolkata and Hyderabad. This apart, Alliance Air is connecting the Jharsuguda Airport with direct flights to Kolkata, Raipur and Bhubaneswar.
