Dispose of Anubhav-Varsha divorce case in time-bound manner: Orissa HC

Bhubaneswar: The Orissa High Court today directed a family court in Cuttack to dispose of a divorce case involving actor-turned politician Anubhav Mohanty and his actress wife Varsha Priyadarshini within three months.

The HC also directed the family court to finish the cross examination in connection with the case within four weeks, sources said.

Now, it is expected that the family court will dispose of the divorce case by October 31, said a source.

Mohanty had approached the HC on the plea that the hearing on the divorce case was getting delayed at the family court.

Notably, the star couple got married in 2014. Mohanty, who has been elected to the Lok Sabha from Kendrapara, had moved a Delhi-based court in 2020 seeking divorce.

The divorce case was shifted to a family court in Cuttack following the Supreme Court’s intervention into it.
