Baripada: Vigilance sleuths today raided the office and residences of Statistical Assistant Sumanta Sahu of Morada in Mayurbhanj district on charges of amassing property disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The anti-graft wing conducted the raid simultaneously at five places, including his office at Morada and houses at Betonati and Baripada. The officials later sealed the office.

However, the amount of disproportionate assets that the Statistical Assistant has possessed is yet to be ascertained.

In a separate incident, a Vigilance team raided the houses and office of an Amin posted at the District Planning and Monitoring Office on charges of acquisition and possession of disproportionate assets.
