Divyang girl raped in Odisha’s Balasore, accused absconds

Balasore: A divyang girl was allegedly raped by a married man in Nilagiri area of Odisha’s Balasore district.

Though the incident took place on August 5, it came to fore after the mother of the victim lodged a complaint in this regard with police, last evening.

As per the complaint, the accused, a neighbour of the victim, had raped the girl at her house when her mother had gone to workplace. She narrated the ordeal before her mother after the latter returned home.

Police have registered a case and raided various place to apprehend the accused, who has absconded. Worth mentioning, the accused had earlier in the past molested the girl and apologised for his act.
