Divyang girl raped in Odisha’s Balasore, accused held

Balasore: A youth was arrested for allegedly raping a divyang girl in Baliapal area of Odisha’s Balasore district today.

According to reports, Tampada Gochhayat, the accused, came to the house of the differently-abled girl while her parents were absent. Finding the girl alone, he allegedly outraged her modesty.

Hearing screams of the victim, neighbours rushed to the spot and rescued her. They nabbed Tampada, thrashed him and informed police about the incident.

Cops have started investigation into the matter after arresting the accused. The girl has been sent for medical examination.
