Diwali mishaps: Over 100 injured admitted to Capital Hospital

Bhubaneswar: Many people have sustained injuries in separate incidents of mishaps during Diwali celebrations in Odisha capital here today.

At least a hundred people, who have sustained injuries while bursting firecrackers during Diwali celebrations, have been rushed to the Capital Hospital here, sources said.

The hospital authorities have formed a special team for the treatment of the injured persons.

“Many children, men and even women have sustained injuries in mishaps during Dilwali celebrations in Bhubaneswar. Most of the admitted persons have sustained burn injuries. A special team of doctors and paramedics are now treating the injured persons,” said an official of the hospital.
