DJ vehicle overturns in Kalahandi; 1 dead, 10 artistes injured

Dharmagarh: One person died and 10 others were injured after a vehicle carrying DJ equipment overturned on the main road under Junagarh Block in Kalahandi district in the wee hours today.

The deceased person has been identified as Prafulla Bag of Nuapada district.

As many as 10 artistes of the band party sustained injuries in the incident. They have been admitted to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Junagarh for treatment.

According to reports, a DJ vehicle carrying artistes belonging to Maa Melody Band Party of Junagarh was engaged in a wedding procession at Golamunda on Friday night. While returning from the event, the vehicle lost its balance and overturned near Bandakutra Chhak at around 3 am.

One artiste Prafulla Bag died on the spot while 10 others were wounded in the mishap.
