Kalimela (Malkangiri): A doctor was allegedly kidnapped by Maoists from his residence at Kalimela in Odisha's Malkangiri district.

The abducted doctor has been identified as Dr Amlan Kumar Bhoi. He was posted at Kalimela Community Health Centre (CHC).

The Maoists left a letter following the abduction.

Reportedly, the doctor was abducted over a post-mortem of a body at the CHC.

Following the incident, the Kalimela police started an investigation to trace whereabouts of the doctor.
