Odisha Sun Times Bureau:
Chandbali, Dec 29:

A seven-foot dolphin was on Sunday afternoon rescued from Chandi nullah under Madhapur panchayat here.

The marine mammal, in stable condition, was spotted at Chandi nullah near Badasingharpur by some villagers who then alerted the forest range officials. The officials then swung into action and rescued the dolphin with the help of villagers.

The big fish weighing over 80 kg was shifted to Shalindi river, about 8km from the nullah.

The dolphin might have deflected from the sea to the Chandi nullah which is connected to the Shalandi river, a member of the rescuing party said.
