This was informed by the president of the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Prasad Harichandan at a press briefing at the Congress Bhawan here.

Speaking on the occasion, Hussain said he has also resigned as a member of the BJD state executive committee.

The state government had nominated Hussain as an expert member of WODC. Besides, the BJD supremo had chosen him as an MP candidate of Bargarh in 2009 Lok Sabha elections.

Speaking on the occasion, Hussain alleged that the BJD is neck-deep in corruption from the top level to the district and block level. “The election expenditure of the party in the last Assembly and Lok Sabha elections bear ample testimony to this”, he added.
